Life Stages: GROWTH (0 - 1 year old)
Dogs in particular have quite specific nutritional needs through growth, and these differ depending on the size of your dog. All dogs (and cats) grow fast in the first few months of life, but the growth rate slows as they reach 3 months of age and this is when it becomes crucial not to over feed puppies - especially large breed puppies - as they can develop joint problems if they become over weight.
Nutrients, vitamins and minerals need to be at the right level, but also in the correct balance with each other, and caloric requirements change as your dog grows and ages.
This is such a highly tuned process that trying to ensure you meet everything your puppy needs with a homemade diet is almost impossible.
The premium foods we supply on Foodle ensure your puppy is getting everything he or she needs in the right amounts, in an easy format to feed, giving you the reassurance that you are doing the very best for them at their crucial developmental stage.
